More Souls to Minister in Myanmar

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria and unto the uttermost part of the earth” Acts 1:8

Ever since I decided to be a missionary, my heart has really been heavily burdened for Myanmar. I don’t know the exact reason why, but I am sure that I am called to be there. I can hear God telling me to reach out to the people ready for harvest in that part of the globe. Since then, I never stopped praying for Myanmar. Then here comes some inevitable circumstances again, a career missionary is still unwelcome. Nevertheless, God be praised for giving me another opportunity to serve Him still.

Temporarily, the Lord put me in Thailand to be oriented and be more prepared. I am in the part of Thailand where there are many Myanmar citizens living and working. I specifically got involved in a mission work that reaches out the Mon tribe from Myanmar. I praise the Lord, I have this time to know these people, learn their way of life, culture and language. I know it is still God’s plan for me to be here first and I praise the Lord because as I work for the Lord in this part of Thailand, I know I am never working and waiting in vain.

Part of my preparation was to be able to take the TESOL training. This would help me and might be a good tool to be able to enter Myanmar. I praise the Lord for the opportunity to take it last year.

In the beginning of this year, I prayed to the Lord for open doors and possibilities to minister in Myanmar. On February, I went to the Northern part of Thailand to survey possible entries to Myanmar Border. While I was praying, I got a message from a friend introducing me to a mission work in Yangon. We met and had a long conversation about the ministry there. I got interested and excited to know more about that work. We prayed for God’s leading concerning this matter. Last March, I visited Myanmar to personally meet the workers and see their work. Whatever the Lord reveals concerning this visit I would be glad to obey. I know there will be more things to consider but at least I have done something, also, I know that in God’s time, He will make it happen.
